Ph.D., La Sapienza University, Faculty of Architecture-ROME, History of Architecture and Town Planning, 1987 – 1992, MSc., in Monuments Restoration in the same University, 1978 – 1981, Faculty of Architecture-ROME, ICCROM-UNESCO, Architectural Conservation, MONUMENTS RESTORATION, 1977 – 1978.

Architect in chief, MINISTRY OF CULTURE – GREECE 1978-1999.

Professor arch. Faculty of Architecture, DUTH University, GREECE, (1999-).

Director of the Laboratory of Architectural Design and Constructions “Theory of Forms and Preservation Studies” at DUTH.

Scientific interests

During his post graduate training and subsequent Ph.D degree, he majored in: architectural design, restoration, conservation and reuse of monuments and historical sites. His later professional interests included: vernacular architecture, underwater and land archeology, survey and documentation with use of aerial photography, photogrammetry, 3D Laser Scanning. These included remnants of buildings, findings of recent excavations, and ancient compound structures that were part of known or unknown archaeological sites, either inland or by the sea.
