Brief CV of Amir Čaušević

Vice Dean for International Cooperation in the Faculty of Architecture, University in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Vice president of CICOP Net Confederation, President of CICOP Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dr. Amir Čaušević has been working in the field of historic structures since 2000 starting with his masters on “Structural aspects of repair and reconstruction in case of masonry structure” and PhD “Architectural and structural conceptions of sacral object’s towers -Behaviour under atypical actions” by 2009.

He has been very active in his professional as well as academic career at Faculty of Architecture of Sarajevo University, being author of about 60 international and national papers, books and chapters in books, mostly on preservation and evaluation of historic structures. He has been organizing and performing editorial work of Hazards & Modern Heritage International Conference in Sarajevo. He is Member of ISCARSAH Committee, International masonry society (IMS), Technical Committee BAS TC 58 and Expert member of International Scientific Committee on the Analysis and Restoration of Structures of Architectural Heritage (ISCARSAH), founded by International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS).

Dr. Čaušević has undertaken important tasks and contributed to international projects and visited cities for training in professional interests: Berlin University, Stuttgart University, Trieste University, Istanbul Yildiz University, Jerusalem, Bari Politecnico, Ankara Middle East Technical University, Rome La Sapienza University and Istanbul Technical University. He has been leading many graduate students and working on structural analysis of historic structures. He is member of various sub committees, organizing international groups.
